Installing the Audio Driver for Windows 98
1. Turn on the computer and start Windows 98.
2. Insert the diskette containing the ESS Solo-1 ES1938S audio drivers
for Windows 98.
3. The CD autoruns and shows a screen with options for you to choose.
Click on Sound and select ESS Solo-1 to install the audio software
and drivers. The welcome screen is then displayed.
4. Click the Next button to continue the installation process. When the
ESS Solo-1 Installation window appears, select Upgrade Drivers
and click the Next button.
5. After file copying is done, restart Windows 98.
6. When Windows restarts, it will detect a PCI Multimedia Audio
Device. Insert the audio driver CD and click the Next button. Click on
the Search for the best driver checkbox, then click Next. Now
install The Update driver, ESSSolo-1 PCI Audio Device. Click Next
and then Next again to start file copying. After file copying is done,
click Finish
7. Now, Windows detects a new hardware which is the gameport
joystick. Click OK and insert the Windows 98 CD and key in the path
(for example, d:\win98) where the Windows 98 files are located and
click OK. The installation is complete.
