Importing a Document to the SHARP Desktop
The SHARP Desktop gives you an excellent location to store
documents, not only those created in the SHARP Desktop, but
virtually any other application. To help you use this feature to
maximum advantage, the SHARP Desktop offers you three ways to
import documents:
• Scan hard-copy documents
With the scanner function, you can scan hard-copy documents into
the SHARP Desktop. (See Chapter 2 “Scanning” for details.)
• Import documents from other applications
The Import command can be used to import documents in various
formats (Windows
®
Bitmap (BMP), JPEG JFIF, PCX, DCX, and
TIFF) created in other applications. (See “Importing and Exporting
in this chapter for details.)
• Use the SHARP Desktop driver
By using the Print to Sharp AJ5030 Desktop driver, you can send
documents into the SHARP Desktop from the application in which
they were created. (See “Printing to the Desktop from Other
Applications” in Chapter 4 for details.)
