The scan menu is easy to navigate,
made even easier with one-touch
favorites added as seen opposite
Destinations can be selected from the
Frequent Use folder, the device
address book or globally searched
against the corporate LDAP database
In addition to preset destinations, users
can also enter addresses ad hoc using
the QWERTY keypad feature. We found
the QWERTY keypad to be responsive
and easy to use. The distance main-
tained between each letter reduced
incidences of mistakes.
Emails could be personalized with
Subject, message line, and file name to
avoid deletion by the recipient.
While most rival devices offer a subject
line feature, Sharp goes one step
further and includes a message
addition feature.
There are a wide range of attachment
options available including multiple file
types, compression levels, limit on size
and, most importantly, encrypt PDF
format allowing users to safeguard
attachments from interception in transit.
