Device Management
Document Operations
is the command center
for the document
storage and reprint on
demand capabilities of
the device.
There are three distinct
storage areas that can
be used to store
commonly-used
documents.
The Quick folder
provides open access
to documents with fast
one-touch access from
the touch screen
control panel.
The Main folder provides greater
administrative functionality and password
protection capabilities, thus allowing the
storage zone to be a shared resource
while still maintaining security for sensitive
or confidential documents.
Custom folders are maintained by
individual users and can be password-
locked to prevent others from gaining
access to the contents of the entire folder.
Using the Document
Operations menu on
the Web server, users
can set up custom
folders, view items in
their own Custom
folder plus the Quick
and Main shared
folders.
We were impressed by
the ease at which this
functionality could be
set up and by the
flexibility in the
management of
documents stored. We could reprint stored
documents with a wealth of settings
including private print.
We could also route the file to a new
destination using the Send features on the
device. By clicking on the name of the file
we could even see a thumbnail of the page
itself, allowing us to check that we had
selected the correct document.
The Main folder features both sharing capabilities and security.
Individuals maintain custom folders.
