Error Messages
The following messages appear on the TV screen in case of an error during operation.
Possible Error
Error message
Cannot play.
Incompatible disc.
The disc cannot be played back with
this system.
o If you load a disc which cannot be
played with this system (i.e. a scratched
disc), or if you load a disc upside down,
this message will appear, and the disc
tray will automatically pop out.
o Occurs if the loaded disc cannot be
played because it is a non-standard disc
or scratched, etc.
Suggested Solution
Check the disc, and load it correctly.
o Remove the disc.

Unplug the AC power cord and plug
it in again after 5 minutes or more.
Then check the operation. *
Should the same message appear even if the system is unplugged and plugged in or is set to the stand-by mode and on
again, contact your local dealer where you purchased the system
To Reset this System
o If this system receives strong interference from a source such as excessive static electricity,
strong external noise, malfunction of power supply, or voltage caused by lightning during ] t_
use or a wrong operation is sent to the system, errors like the system not accepting an o o o o
operation may occur.
Press and hold POWER (for about 15 seconds) on the main unit. POWER Front panel
If the power is on, keep the button pressed down until the front panel display turns off. STANDBY display
When the front panel display is turned off, the reset procedure is complete, indicator
o If the power is off, keep the button pressed down until the STANDBY indicator turns off.
When the STANDBY indicator is turned off, the reset procedure is complete.
Then, after the STANDBY indicator is lit, turn on the power.
o When a reset is performed while the power is on, the system will turn off. Turn the power on again. At this point, it may take
a few moments for the system processing to finish before the system is ready for use. During the system processing, the
BD/DVD/CD mode indicator on the front panel display of the main unit will blink. Once the system processing has finished, the
indicator will finish blinking and then light up normally. You can operate the system when the BD/DVD/CD mode indicator is lit.
o Since all settings including the language setting stored in memory are also reset when a reset has been performed, they must
be set again.
When the problem persists even after performing a reset, unplug the AC cord and plug it in again. If this does not solve the
problem, contact the nearest service center approved by SHARR
