CD-MPX100H Preparation for Use ENGLISH ■ FM/AM loop aerial connection ■ Speaker connection Connect the FM/AM loop aerial to the ANTENNA socket. Connect the black wire to the minus (-) terminal, and the red wire to the plus (+) terminal. Position the FM aerial wire and rotate the AM loop aerial for optimum reception. Place the AM loop aerial on a shelf, or attach it to a stand or a wall. Notes: ● Placing the aerial on the unit or near the AC power lead may cause noise pickup.

If you plug in the unit first, the unit will enter the demonstration mode. The first time the unit is plugged in, the unit will enter the demonstration mode. You will see words scroll.
CD-MPX100H ENGLISH Remote control ■ Battery installation 1 2 3 Open the battery cover. Insert the supplied batteries according to the direction indicated in the battery compartment. When inserting or removing the batteries, push them towards the battery terminals. Close the cover. Notes concerning use: ● Replace the batteries if the operating distance is reduced or if the operation becomes erratic. Purchase 2 "AA" size batteries (UM/ SUM-3, R6, HP-7 or similar).
General control CD-MPX100H ENGLISH ■ Bass control When the power is first turned on, the unit will enter the extra bass mode which emphasises the bass frequencies, and "X-BASS" will appear. To cancel the extra bass mode, press the X-BASS/DEMO (X-BASS) button. When the EQUALIZER (EQUALIZER MODE) button is pressed, the current mode setting will be displayed. To change to a different mode, press the EQUALIZER (EQUALIZER MODE) button repeatedly until the desired sound mode appears. FLAT No equalization.

Some audio CD-R and CD-RW discs may not be playable due to the state of disc or the device that was used for recording. CD or MP3/WMA disc Playback MP3: MP3 is a form of compression. It is an acronym which stands for MPEG Audio Layer 3.

Place the disc on the disc tray, label side up. Timer recording: The unit turns on and starts recording from the tuner at the preset time. Once timer: Once timer play and once timer recording works for one time only at a preset time. For example, if you are away but want to record a programme on a radio station. Daily timer: Daily timer play and daily timer recording works at the same preset time everyday.
