Subtitle Selection
1 While a DVD is playing, press SUBTITLE to display the current
language setting, as shown in the example below.
• The number of languages recorded differs depending on the
disc.
• If no subtitles are recorded on the disc, xx is displayed.
2 Press ' or " (or SUBTITLE) to switch to the next language
recorded on the disc.
• You can toggle the setting between “ON” and “OFF” by
pressing \ or |.
• About two seconds later, playback continues with the new
subtitle you selected.
• If no button is pressed within 10 seconds, playback
continues without changing the current subtitle.

• This function can only be used for discs on which subtitles have been
recorded in multiple languages.
• Some DVDs are marked “Forced Display”, indicating that the subtitling
cannot be suppressed. With such discs, the subtitles will be displayed
even when you select “ OFF” display. This does not indicate a fault
with your Player.
