Setting the TV MODE
1 While a disc is stopped, press SETUP to display the Setup screen.
2 Use ' or " to select the “ TV MODE
SETUP”.
3 Press ENTER to display the items you can select.

5 Press ENTER to confirm the “TV MODE” setting.
• To exit the Setup screen and return to the Startup screen, press SETUP
or RETURN.
• You cannot open the Setup screen while a playback operation is in progress. If a
disc is playing, stop playback first.
• If you select 16:9 while a 4:3 TV is connected, playing a 16:9 disc displays a
vertical image screen. (Black bands appear at the top and bottom of the screen.)
