Turn on the VCR/DVD for the First Time

Turn on the TV and select an appropriate external input
mode on the TV until the VCR/DVD's picture appears.

This VCR/DVD incorporates a 24-hour clock. The clock must be set for the Timer
Recording function to operate correctly.

Hint
• To go back one step, press Cursor s (during the steps 3 to 7).
• Although seconds are not displayed, they begin counting from 00
when you exit by pressing MENU. Use this feature to synchronise
the clock with the correct time.
• Repeat these steps only if either there was a power failure or this
VCR/DVD has been unplugged for more than 1 hour.

You can select a desired channel by using CH K / L or directly
pressing the Number buttons on the remote control.

Hint
• Enter a channel numbers as a two-digit number for the quickest
results. For example, to select channel 6, press 0 and 6. If you only
press 6, channel 6 will be selected after a brief delay.
• You can only select channels 1–99.

This function enables you to select the picture quality of a tape.

Hint
• Once you select the Picture Select mode, it stays in effect even
after you turn off the VCR/DVD.
Operations described after this section are mainly based on the remote control use. Some operations can be carried out on main unit.
