Time Search
You can specify the time for fast forwarding or rewinding.
If a tape includes both programmes recorded in the PAL (or MESECAM)
system and ones recorded in the NTSC system, this function may not be
operated correctly.
• Insert a tape into this VCR/DVD.

• When 0:00 is reached, the VCR/DVD will start playback
automatically.
Hint
• Time Search can be set up to 9 hours 59 minutes (9:59).
• This function is not available during recording.
• If the end of the tape is reached during a search, this VCR/DVD
will cancel the search and rewind the tape.
• To exit the Time Search mode, press MENU in step 2, or press
STOP C after step 3.

Index Search
You can specify the number of programmes to be skipped.
• The index mark will be made automatically when REC/OTR is
pressed. It will also be marked at the starting point of Timer
Recording and OTR.
• The index mark is not recorded if STILL/PAUSE F is pressed and
released during recording.
• The time gap between index marks on the tape should be greater
than 1 minute for SP recording and 2 minutes for LP recording.
• Insert a tape into this VCR/DVD.

• When the preset programme is reached, the VCR/DVD will start
playback automatically.
Hint
• Index Search can be set up to 20.
• This function is not available during recording.
• If the end of the tape is reached during a search, this VCR/DVD
will cancel the search and rewind the tape.
• This VCR/DVD stores index mark at the beginning of the record-
ing. There should be time gap between 2 index marks for the
Index Search.
• To exit the Index Search mode, press MENU in step
2, or press
STOP C after step 3.

Hint
• To cancel Auto Repeat, follow steps
1 to 3. Then, press Cursor B,
so that “OFF“ appears beside “AUTO REPEAT”. Press MENU to exit.
• If menu remains on the TV screen at step
3, press MENU to exit.
• Once you select “AUTO REPEAT”, it stays in effect even after you
turn off the VCR/DVD.
