Applications of the Measuring Microscope
Multimode Observation
These microscopes combine
metallographic observation functions
such as DF mode (to observe surface
scratches and minute steps which are
difficult to see in BF mode), Polarized
Light mode (to observe the hue and
image contrast to suit the polarization
characteristics using the polarizer
and analyzer) and Differential Interference Contrast (to
observe minute surface steps, or similar features, as color
image contrasts while using the polarization filter and
differential interference prism at the same time) with
measurement functions.

Saving High-Resolution Images
Anyone can easily take high-resolution microscope images mounting a high-pixel digital
camera onto the main unit. It is also possible for many users to observe and analyze
the image displayed on a monitor at the same time. You can also generate inspection
tables with images attached.
3D Image Analysis
Even if the microscope image has shallow depth of focus,
you can easily acquire an omnifocal image using a special
program. Furthermore, these microscopes can also
achieve a 3D display at low cost and in a short space of
time.
High Accuracy Measurement
This is a high-value-added system based on a
microscope that can not only measure length (and
height, optionally) but also check the processed state of
a surface and other elements while peering through the
eyepiece. The automatic edge input function for image
measurement enables edges to
be input without moving the
stage if the target falls in a single
screen image, improving the
measurement efficiency.
Microscope images on this page are digital images,
so they differ somewhat from the actual images.
