1 Disc tray
• Place the disc here when open.
2 Display
• Refer to “Front Panel Display Guide” on page
12.
3 OPEN/CLOSE A button*
• Press to open or close the disc tray.
4 PROG. L / K buttons
• Press to change the channel up or down.
5 REV E button
• During playback, press to skip to the previous
chapter or track.
• During playback, press and hold for 1.5
seconds to fast reverse.
• When playback is paused, press to play reverse
step by step.
• When playback is paused, press and hold for
1.5 seconds to slow reverse.
6 FWD D button
• During playback, press to skip to the next
chapter or track.
• During playback, press and hold for 1.5
seconds to fast forward.
• When playback is paused, press to play
forward step by step.
• When playback is paused, press and hold for
1.5 seconds to slow forward.
7 STOP C button
• Press to stop playback or recording.
• Press to stop a timer recording of DVD.
8 PLAY B button*
• Press to start or resume playback.
9 OPERATE button
• Press to turn on or off the unit.
• If timer programming is set, press to switch the
unit to timer-standby mode.
10 AUDIO input jacks (AV4)
• Use to connect external equipment with a
standard Audio cable.
11 VIDEO input jack (AV4)
• Use to connect external equipment with a
standard Video cable.
12 DV input jack (AV5)
• Use to connect the DV output of external
equipment with a DV cable.
13 REC/OTR button
• Press once to start a basic recording.
• Press repeatedly to set the One-touch Timer
Recording.
14 REC MODE button
• Press to switch the recording mode.
15 Remote control sensor
• Receives signals from your remote control so
you can control the unit from a distance.
