Using the Flash

You can use the P-TTL auto flash with an AF540FGZ, AF360FGZ,
AF200FG or AF160FC flash unit.

Remove the cover of the hot shoe, and attach the external
flash.

Turn on the camera and the external flash.

Set the external flash mode to [P-TTL].

Make sure that the external flash is fully charged, and then
take a picture.
Using the P-TTL Auto Flash
• The P-TTL auto flash is only available with an AF540FGZ, AF360FGZ,
AF200FG or AF160FC flash unit.
• For details such as operation method and effective distance, refer to the
external flash manual.
• The flash does not discharge if the subject is bright enough when the flash
mode is set to C or i. Therefore, these modes may not be suitable for
daylight-sync shooting.
• Even if the K/i button is pressed, the built-in flash does not pop up when
an accessory is attached to the hot shoe of the camera.
