Settings
Setting 35-1: PBX CONNECTION
Press or to select YES if the machine is connected to a PBX.
Select NO if it is connected to a regular public line. When finished, press
.
(If you selected YES, Setting 35-2 will subsequently appear in the display. If
you select NO, Setting 01 will appear.)
Initial setting: NO
Setting 35-2: PBX SELECTION
This sets the mode used for connecting calls from a PBX to an outside line.
Refer to your PBX manual or consult your supplier for the correct setting.
Press or to select Flash or ID, and then press .
(If you selected ID, Setting 35-3 will subsequently appear in the display. If you
selected Flash, Setting 01 will appear.)

Setting 35-3: PBX ID DIGIT
If you set Option Setting 35-2 to ID (PBX ID digit mode), use this setting to
enter your PBX ID number (maximum of 3 digits). Press when finished.
Initial Setting: 0
(Note: The ID number is automatically dialled for access to the public line when
Rapid Key or Speed Dialling is used. Do not store it as part of the number when
storing a Rapid Key or Speed Dialling number.)
Setting 36: FLASH SELECT
Note: This setting is only used in Germany.
If the machine is connected to a PBX and the PBX uses the “Flash” method to
connect to an outside line, press or to select SHORT TIME if your
PBX line is a normal telephone line, or LONG TIME if your PBX is an ISDN
line (or other high-speed line). Press when finished.
