Connecting the telephone line cord
Insert one end of the line cord into the socket on the back of the machine
marked TEL. LINE. Insert the other end into a standard single-line wall
telephone socket.
Countries other than Germany and Italy: The telephone line cord is not
included with the machine. Please purchase a telephone line cord separately.

♦ In Germany, the machine is supplied with a N-coded line cable, enabling
you to use an extension (cordless) telephone on the same line. If you don't
have the standard NFN-outlet of TELEKOM, you can purchase an NFN-
adapter at your retailer.
Note: If you are connecting the machine to a PBX, you will need to configure
appropriate settings for Option Setting 35. (In Germany, you will also need to
configure Option Setting 36.)
