However, uneven colours may appear on the screen depending on the type of TV. If colour variation occurs: Turn off the TV (from the power switch). After 15 - 30 minutes, turn the TV on again.

To prevent accidental short circuits between + and - terminals, connect the speaker wires to the speakers first, then to the unit. CP-DV40H 1 Align the hole on the speaker stand to the hole on speaker. Fix them securely with the special screw provided. Speaker stand 2 Speaker Special screw Route the speaker wire through the speaker stand hole.

Use an external FM aerial if you require better reception. If the TV/monitor has video input, connect it to the VIDEO OUT socket on the rear of the unit. Connect the DVD player, VCR or digital tuner to a TV directly to receive the images (refer to the operation manual of each equipment). Caution: Turn off the other equipment before making this connection. When playing a 4:3 image disc, the image size depends on the setting of the connected TV. If you play back a wide image (16:9) disc with this unit connected to a 4:3 TV, the vertically shrunk image is displayed. Press it again to cancel. 3 The Dolby Pro Logic indicator also lights up if 2ch sound signals are detected.

If the power fails whilst the disc is moving, wait until the power is restored.

Listening to a CD or MP3/WMA disc MP3: MP3 is a form of compression. It is an acronym which stands for MPEG Audio Layer 3. MP3 is a type of audio code which is processed by significant compression from the original audio source with very little loss in sound quality. This system supports MPEG 1 Layer 3 and VBR files. During VBR file playback, time counter in the display may differ from its actual playback time. Bitrate which is supported by MP3 is 32 ~ 320 kbps.
HT-DV40H HT-DV50H ENGLISH Advanced CD or MP3/WMA disc playback To play in random order (random play) WMA CD, CD-R and CD-RW Operation The tracks on the disc play back can be played in random order automatically. In the stop or playback mode, press the SHIFT button and then the RANDOM button. All the tracks play in random order. TV screen Random Unit Display [ON] To cancel random play: To cancel random playback, press the SHIFT and RANDOM buttons, so that the random “R**” character will disappear.
