Caution:
Turn off all other equipment before making any connections.
Notes:
To connect to TV, use Audio IN terminals located at the rear of the sound bar.
Refer the operation manual of the equipment to be connected.
Fully insert the plugs to avoid fuzzy pictures or noises.
In some cases, a small background noise could emit from the sound bar, when you
use the RCA audio output terminal connection from a TV-Set/DVD/Blu-ray Disc
Player. In such case, please change the connection to the headphone terminal
connection. This effect depends on the used TV/DVD/Blu-ray Disc Player-Brand,
model and age, and it is not a quality matter from the sound bar.
If the TV volume is continuously at low level, the sound bar will automatically
power off. Increase the TV output volume to enjoy the sound from the speaker.
If the TV/monitor has an audio output, connect it to the Audio IN jack on the rear
of the sound bar.
To select AUDIO IN function:
Press INPUT button repeatedly.
To select Bluetooth function:
Press INPUT button repeatedly. (PAIRING indicator turns blue.)

After checking all the connections have
been made correctly, connect the AC
power cord to the AC power input jack,
then to the AC outlet.

DC adaptor.

the DC INPUT jack on the sound
bar.
_ Plug the AC power cord into an AC
outlet.
Notes:
During power standby, the stand-by
indicator turns RED. If ON-STANDBY
button is pressed, the STAND-BY
indicator turns BLUE.
Unplug the AC/DC adaptor from the
AC outlet if the sound bar will not be
used for a prolonged period of time.
Use only the supplied AC/DC adaptor.
Using other AC/DC adaptor may
cause an electric shock or fire.
Make sure to unplug the AC power
cord before making any connections.

Precautions for battery use:
Remove the battery if the sound bar will
not be used for a long period of time.
This will prevent potential damage due
to battery leakage.
Caution:
Do not use rechargeable battery
(nickel-cadmium battery, etc.).
Danger of explosion if battery is in-
correctly replaced.
Replace only with the same or
equivalent type.
Batteries (battery pack or batteries
installed) shall not be exposed to ex-
cessive heat such as sunshine, fire
or the like.
Installing the battery incorrectly may
cause the sound bar to malfunction.
Notes concerning use:
Replace the battery if the operating
distance is reduced or if the opera-
tion becomes erratic. Purchase "CR
2025", coin lithium battery.
Periodically clean the transmitter on
the remote control and the sensor
on the sound bar with a soft cloth.
Exposing the sensor on the sound
bar to strong light may interfere with
operation. Change the lighting or the
direction of the sound bar if this oc-
curs.
Keep the remote control away from
moisture, heat, shock, and vibra-
tions.
Press the ON/STAND-BY button.
The STAND-BY indicator turns BLUE.
Note:
Ifthe power does nottum on, check whether
the power cord is plugged in properly.
To set the sound bar to stand-by mode:
Press the ON/STAND-BY button again. The
STAND-BY indicator turns RED.

If you turn off and on the sound bar again,
volume will start at lower level and gradually
increase to the last set level.
Sound bar operation:
Press volume up (VOLUME + ) to increase
the volume and press volume down (VOL-
UME - ) to decrease the volume.
Remote control operation:
Press the VOL + button to increase the
volume and the VOL - button to decrease
the volume.
Note:
When volume is maximum or minimum:
The VOLUME indicator: blinking
The SURROUND indicator: blinking

the MUTE button on the remote control. Press
againto restorethevolume.

Press the desired sound mode button
on the remote control.
The VOLUME indicator: blinking

When the sound bar is connected to the TV/
DVD, etc., the AUDIO IN function is ready
to be used.
When the iNPUT button is pressed, the input
source will change.

Note:
The backupfunctionwill protectthe memorized
function mode for a few hoursshouldthere be
a powerfailure or the AC powercord becomes

Auto power on function:
Whenstand-byindicatorisVIOLET,thesound
bar will automaticallypowerON if it detects
audio signal from connected equipment,
unless it is turned off manually (STAND-BY
indicatorturnsred).
Auto power off and auto detectsignal:
The soundbarwill automaticallygo tostand-
by mode (STAND-BYindicatorturnsviolet) if
no audiosignalisdetectedwithin20 minutes.
Bluetoothwirelesstechnologyisashort-rangeradio
technologythat enableswirelesscommunication
between various types of digital devices,such
as mobile phoneor computer.It operateswithin
a rangeof about10 meters(30feet)withoutthe
hassleof havingto use cablesto connectthese
devices.SincetheBluetoothtechnologydoesnot
require Iineof sight betweenthecommunicating
devices,it isnotnecessaryto lineupthetransmit-
tingdeviceandthereceiver,asin thecaseof infra
red technology.

There are many available Bluetooth Profiles
describing the basic communicationmethods,
specificfunctionsanduses,to enablecommunica-
tion betweendevices.
This sound bar supports the following:

version 2.1 Bluetooth + Enhanced Data Rate
(EDR) Profile : A2DP (AdvancedAudioDistribu-
tion Profile)
A2DP enables audio streamingfrom an A2DP
equipped Bluetoothstereoaudio sourcedevice
(eg mobilephone)to thissoundbar.By convert-
ing wirelessstereoaudiosignalto analogueaudio
signal,youcanenjoylisteningtothesoundthrough
thisspeakersystem.
AVRCP(AudioNideoRemoteControlProfile)isa
technologythat allowsa single remotecontrol to
control all BluetoothenabledAudioVideoequip-
mentto whichauserhas access.

Bluetoothdevicesneedto be initiallypaired first
beforethey canexchangedata.Oncepaired,it is
notnecessaryto pair themagain unless:
pairingis madewith morethan 8devices.
Pairing can only be made one device at
a time. This sound bar can be paired to a
maximumof 8 devices. If subsequentdevice
is paired,theoldest devicepaired,wilt bede-
leted and replacedwith thenew one.

deviceslist(if available)inthesourcedevice.

ter (3feet)of eachotherwhenpairing.

5 Select"SHARPHT-SB30"from the source
list. If Passcode*is required,enter"OOO0".
Pairingindbator(blue)onthe soundbarwill
stopblinkingoncethesoundbar issuccess-
fullypairedwiththesourcedevice.Pairing
informationis now memorizedin thesound
bar.
*PasscodemaybecalledPINCode,Passkey,
PINnumberorPassword.
6 Start the Bluetooth connection from the
sourcedevice.
Someaudiosourcedevicesmayconnectwith
thesoundbarautomatically,otherwisefollow
theinstructionsinthesourcedeviceoperating
manualto startconnection.
Notes:
Ifthis soundbaror thesourcedeviceisturned
offbefore Bluetoothconnectionis completed,
pairingwilt not be completedand thepairing
informationwill not be memorized.Repeat
step1onwardsto start pairingagain.
Topairwith other devices,repeat steps1 - 5
for eachdevice.
Thissoundbar can be pairedto a maximum
of 8 devices. If subsequentdeviceis paired,
theoldest device paired,will be deteted and
replacedwith the newone.
Once a device is ousted or deleted from
the pairing list, the pairing information for
the device is also deleted.To listen to the
soundfrom the deviceagain, it needsto be
re-paired.Performsteps 1- 5 to pair the de-
viceagain.
Passcodeof this soundbaris fixed to"0000"
andcan only be pairedwith Bluetoothsource
devicewhosepasscodeisalso "0000".
Check that:
ThesourcedeviceBluetoothfunctionalityisON.
Pairingd thissoundbarandthe sourcedevice

Condensationcancausethesoundbarto malfunc-
tion.Ifthishappens,leavethepoweron untilnormal
operationis possible(about 1hour).Wipeoff any
condensationon the transmitterwith a soft cloth
beforeoperatingthesoundbar.
Make sure to disconnectall audio inputcables
attachedto the soundbar beforeperformingthe
factory reset.

Ifsuch aproblem occurs, dothe following:
1 Set thesoundbar tothestand-bymode and
turnthepoweron again.
2 Ifthesoundbaris notrestoredintheprevious
operation,unplugand plug inthe soundbar,
andthenturn thepoweron.
