Green Peas Rice Makes 4 servings
Ingredients
3 cups short grain rice
150 g
green peas, fresh or frozen
1 tsp salt
1
/2 tbsp sake (rice wine)
1. Put washed rice, salt and sake into inner pot. Add water
to level 3 for
Plain Mixed
and mix well.
2. Put peas on rice.
3. Press the MIXED RICE key to start cooking.
4. After rice is finished cooking, mix well.
Rice with Pork Spareribs and Chinese Dried Sausages Makes 4 servings
Ingredients
3 cups short grain rice
200 g pork spareribs, cut
10 g cup black soybeans
100 g chinese dried sausages,
cut into slices
2 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp cornstarch
dash of pepper
1. Mixed salt, sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch
and pepper together.
2. Marinate spareribs and black soybeans in this mixture;
set aside.
3. Put washed rice into inner pot and add water to level 3
for
Plain Mixed
.
4. Put sparerib mixture and Chinese dried sausage slices
on top of rice and press the MIXED RICE key to start
cooking.
5. After rice is finished cooking, mix well. Additional soy
sauce may be added.
Rice with Steamed Chicken and Mushrooms Makes 4 servings
Ingredients
3 cups short grain rice
30 g dried mushrooms
150 g white meat of chicken,
cut into thin strips
1
garlic cloves, finely minced
1 tsp
fresh ginger, fined chopped
1 scallions, cut thinly
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
2 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1. Soak dried mushrooms in hot water for 30 minutes or
until soft and drain water and slice mushrooms.
2. Mix salt, sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic and gin-
ger together well for a marinade.
3. Add chicken to marinade. Drain mushrooms and add to
marinade with chicken.
4. Put washed rice into inner pot and add water to level 3
for
Plain Mixed
.
5. Put chicken and mushroom mixture on top of rice and
press the MIXED RICE key to start cooking.
6. After rice is finished cooking, mix well and sprinkle top
with scallions. Additional soy sauce may be added.
Shrimp Pilaf Makes 4 servings
Ingredients
3 cups long grain rice
700 ml (approx.) chicken stock
60 g onion, minced
2 slices bacon, cut thinly
140 g shrimps, shelled
25 g
canned mushrooms, cut thinly
20 g butter
1
/2 tsp salt
dash of pepper
1 tsp chopped parsley
1. Wash rice and drain off.
2. Melt 10 g butter in frying pan and fry onion, bacon,
shrimps and mushrooms; set aside.
3. Melt 10 g butter in frying pan and fry rice until transpar-
ent.
4. Put rice, salt and pepper into inner pot. Add chicken
stock to level 3 for
Plain mixed
and mix well.
5. Put onion, bacon, shrimps and mushrooms on rice.
6. Press the MIXED RICE key to start cooking.
7. After rice is finished cooking, mix well and sprinkle
chopped parsley on top.
