INTERIOR
(1) Toner cartridge
This cartridge contains toner.
When the toner in a cartridge runs out, replace with new one.

(2) Waste toner box
This container collects excess toner that remains after printing.

(3) Fusing unit paper guide
Open to remove misfed paper.
(4) Fusing unit release levers
Push down these levers to release the pressure when
removing misfed paper from inside the fusing area or
when feeding an envelope from the bypass tray.
(5) Right cover of paper feed unit (when a paper feed
unit is installed)
Open this to remove a paper misfeed in tray 2 to 5.
(6) Duplex conveyor cover
This unit is used for reversing paper when 2-sided printing
is performed. Open this cover to remove a paper misfeed.
(7) Right side cover
Open this cover to remove a paper misfeed.
(8) Roller rotating knob
Rotate to remove a paper misfeed.

A service technician collects replaced waste toner box.
• The fusing unit is hot. Do not touch the fusing unit
when removing misfed paper. Doing so may cause
a burn or injury.
• When pressing down the levers, slowly press down
from above using your fingers. Take care that your
fingers do not become pinched while pressing. If
you press too hard, there is a risk that your fingers
will be knocked back by the levers.
