Talk
Talk is Google’s instant messaging program. It lets you communicate with other people who also use Google Talk, on a
phone, on the web, or with a desktop application.
Signing in or out of Talk
Opening Talk and Signing in
1. From the Home screen, tap Apps > Talk.
When you rst open Talk, your Friends list is displayed.
When you rst turn on your phone and sign into your Google Account, you are already signed in to Google Talk. You remain
signed in, even when you’re using other applications, until you deliberately sign out.
Talk syncs data only from the rst Google Account you signed into on your phone.
Signing out of Talk
1. On your Friends list, press Menu > Sign out.
Setting status
1. From the Home screen, tap Apps > Talk.
2. On your Friends list, tap your name.

Tap your picture > Remove to remove current picture or Change to select another picture on the SD card.

ap the online status > select the status you want.

ter your new status message.
3. Tap Done.

our picture, online status, message appear in your contact’s Friends lists and in other applications where your Talk status
are displayed.

The Talk Friends list is sorted by your friends online status: active chats, online, busy, and oine. Within each status group,
friends are listed alphabetically.
Icons in Talk, Gmail, Maps, and other applications indicate your Talk status and your friends’ .
Adding a friend to your Friends list
1. From the Home screen, tap Apps > Talk.
2. On your Friends list, press
Menu > Add friend.
3. Enter Google Talk instant messaging ID or Gmail address of the friend > Send invitation.
W
hen your friend accepts the invitation, the friend is added to your friend list.
To view a list of pending invitations to friends, press
Menu > More > Invites.
