Supporting System Hibernate
To support System Hibernate mode, you need to perform the following:
1.
In the
Power Options properties
dialog box, select
Hibernate
tab.
2.
Check
Enable hibernate support
.
3.
Click
Apply
and
OK
.
Entering System Standby/Hibernate
Your computer will enter System Standby/Hibernate under several sets of conditions
as follows:
The
System stand by/System hibernate
timeout in the
Power Options properties
dialog box elapses.
Hot keys
Fn+F12
are pressed.
This functions if you perform the following:
1. In the
Power Options properties
dialog box, select
Advanced
tab.
2. Select
Hibernate
or
Stand By
in
When I press the sleep button on my
computer.
3. Click
Apply
and
OK
.
The upper cover is closed when no external monitor is connected to the
computer.
This functions if you perform the following:

Power Options properties
dialog box, select
Advanced
tab.

Hibernate
or
Stand By

When I close the lid of my portable
computer:

The power button is pressed.

Resuming from System Standby
Your computer will resume from System Standby if you operate the computer again.
Resuming from System Hibernate
Your computer will resume from System Hibernate if the power button is pressed.
