4.4 Reprogramming the machine data
You will have to re-enter the P
AUSE
or H
OME
position data in the machine settings if the PC
operating system crashes and the head no longer moves to these positions.
Proceed as follows:
1.
Start up BoardMaster.
2.
Select
C
ONFIGURATION
,
S
ETTINGS
from the menu bar.
3.
Click
U
NLOCK
.
This activates the
S
ET
H
OME
and
I
NITIALIZE
push
button.
4.
Click on
I
NITIALIZE
. The device
moves to all four end positions. The
device then comes to a halt in the
zero position (at the front right). The
traverse range thus determined is
displayed under
S
IZE
and saved by
BoardMaster.

5.
The coordinates for the H
OME
position are generated
automatically.
The X value is set at
0
and the Y
value corresponds to half the value
specified for Y under
S
IZE
.
Now enter the values noted down for the H
OME
position in the
H
OME
box. These values
are determined as described in the section entitled "Checking and correcting the H
OME
position".
The coordinates for the P
AUSE
position correspond to the values in the
S
IZE
box. You
can enter any coordinates here.
6.
Click
to quit this box.
7.
BoardMaster must be shut down and restarted.
The new values are saved when the
M
ACHINE
S
ETTINGS
...
dialogue box is closed and you quit
BoardMaster.
