SERvICE CALL CHECK
Please check the following before calling for service:
YES NO
1. Does the display light?
2. When the door is opened, does the oven lamp come on?
3. Place one cup of water (approx. 250 ml) in a glass measure in the oven and close the door securely.
Press the INSTANT COOK / START.
A. Does the oven lamp light?
B. Does the cooling fan work? (Put your hand over the rear ventilation openings.)
C. Does the turntable rotate? (The turntable can rotate clockwise or counterclockwise.
This is quite normal.)
D. Does the COOK indicator light?
E. After one minute, did an audible signal sound?
F. Is the water inside the oven hot?
4. Remove water from the oven and program the oven for 3 minutes on ROAST mode using top and bottom
heaters.
A. Do the top and bottom heater symbols and COOK indicator light?
B. After 3 minutes, do the both heaters become red? (Pay special attention to prevent
burns when checking the bottom heater.)
If “NO” is the answer to any of the above questions, please check electrical outlet, fuse and/or circuit breaker.
If either or both are not functioning properly, CONTACT YOUR NEAREST SHARP AUTHORIZED SERVICER.
A microwave oven should never be serviced by a “do-it-yourself” repair person.
NOTE:
1. If time in the display is counting down very rapidly, check Demo Mode. (Please see page 21 for detail.)
2. The following thing is not trouble;
If you operate the oven longer than the maximum time, the power will automatically be reduced. The table
below shows the maximum time for microwave mode.
