and+5dBm(optimumis‐5dBmattheinputsonthebackoftheLPU).

AClevelsontheLPUSTATUS>RTACGUIscreen.Thebarmetersshouldbegreenandthelevelshould
bejustbelowtheblack100%line.

ttheExciterHomescreenshowsONintheup perleftcorneroftheGUIscreen.IftheexciterisOFFor
MUTE,thecorrectionscannotbecalculated.

couplerafterthemaskfilterthatissentbacktotheexciterviacoaxialcable.Thesample(5dB
mlevelisnominalfor
M2Xexciters,LPUs,andCCDLPUs)isusedtoproduceprecorrectionwhichisappliedtotheexciteroutput.Thus,
theexciteroutputispredistortedtocompensateforthedistortionsproducedintheoutputmaskfilter.Single
transmittersystemsnormallyoperatewithRTACcorrectionssettoAdap
tmode.PreandpostfilterRTACsample
levelsshouldbewithin1dBofeachother.
Multipletr
ansmitters(atdifferentchannels)canbecombinedintoacommonantennausingacombinersystemas
showninthesamplesketchbelow.
