2.9.3 ACMainsConnectionsProcedure
TheACmainsconnectionintoaHarrissuppliedrackisviaaterminalblocksituatedintheACdistributionchassisat
thetopoftherack.Accessisviaaremovablepanelontheroofoftherack.

To avoid damage to the equipment, it is important that the correct voltage, frequency and connection type
be verified prior to installation.
Note
Models that are supplied without cabinets have the AC plugs for the LPU and PAB’s provided with the
shipment. The AC wires are then attached to the customer supplied fuse or circuit breaker panels. The
plugs must be wired for use (using customer supplied wire) on site. The AC plug connections for the LPUs
are shown on the AC Flow Diagram UAX, Customer Supplied Distribution diagrams 863-5602-705.
STEP 1 SwitchoffalltransmittercircuitbreakersandswitchesontheACdistribution
chassisattopoftransmitterrack.
STEP 2 SwitchofftheACmainsatbuildingpanelboard.
STEP 3 Removetheaccesspanelatthetopofthetransmitterandroutetheprimary
ACcablethroughconnectoralongsidethepanelopening.TheACaccess
panelandACconnectorareshowninFigure21.Thesecondconnectorhole
inthetopofthecabinetcanbeusedforauxiliaryandUP
Sinputs.
