Some network switches utilizing secure connections will require the MAC address to be given to the switch
to allow traffic to pass to and from it. The MAC address can be found at the top of the Home > Service >
Network page.

2.14 ConnectingtotheUAXviaSNMP
TheUAXtransmitterfamilysupportsmonitoringandalarming functionalityviaSNMP(SimpleNetwork
ManagementProtocol).Basiccontroloftheequipmentispossibleafteractivationintheequipment.SNMPversions
V1andV2candV3areimplemented.
Thissec
tionassumesagoodworkingknowledgeofnetworkingandSNMPconnectivity.Theinformationcontained
hereisnotmeanttoteachnetworkingorhowtosetup/operateanetworkmanagerapplication,butmerelyprovide
theinformationnecessaryforanetworkadministratortoconnectandoperatetheVAXtransmitterusingtheSNMP
connection.

SNMPconnectiontotransmittersthatcontainaTCUisdescribedinSection3•5•4onpage3‐15.
