MAKING COPIES REDUCTION/ENLARGEMENT 1. Place the original on the document glass @ and close the document cover @. 2. Check the copy paper size. 3. Press the COPY RATIO selector key @ 1o select the desired copy ratio. Reduction copy ratios: 80%, 70% Examples: 80% reduction reduces a B4 original to A4 copy size. 70% reduction reduces an A4 original fc A6 copy size.
BYPASS (MANUAL FEEDING) The manual bypass @ can be used to feed OHP film, labels, tracing paper and other special purpose papers. For best results, use only Sharp recommended supplies. 1. Set the original. 2. Adjust the manual bypass guide @ 1o the copy paper width. 3. Insert the copy paper all the way into the bypass slot. & The bypass PAPER SELECT indicator € lights up and copying begins autocratically.
MAKING COPIES BYPASS (OPTIONAL BYPASS SACKER) With an optionally available bypass-sacker, up to 50 sheets of standard copy paper can be autocratically fed to the copier, In effect, this option provides multi-paper feeding capability, just as i the Copier had 2 paper cassettes instead of one. TWO-SIDED COPYING Two-sided copes can also be made on the SF-7380 Copley by using the manual bypass @. 1. Pace the first original on the document glass € and make copy. ® The first copy can be made with paper either from the cassette € or the manual bypass @. 2. Replace the first original with the second original. @ Make sure that both the first and second originals are oriented the same way on the document glass €. 3.
MAKING COPIES COLOR COPYING SHARP color copy kits and developer units {sold separately} can be installed to allow copying of one color at a time. Multiple colors can be cooled on the same page by changing the color units and recopying the document. 1. Install the desired color developer unit. ® See the next page. 2. Set the original, select the desired copier settings, and press the print button €. 3. Change the color developer unit. Feed the copy face up from the manual bypass € to copy a second color. 5.
Replacing the developer unit 1. Open the front cover ©. 2. Pull the developer unit locking lever @ forward to unlock. 3. Pull the developer unit @ out slowly until it stops. ® When sliding 1he developer unit € in or out, make sure your hand is clear of the developer unit locking lever . 4. Hold the developer unit @) and lift it out carefully. » Unless you hold the developer unit strap @, the developer unit @ cannot be removed. * Lore the developer unit @ in the carrying case when not in use. 5.
LOADING COPY PAPER INTO THE CASSETTE To save space, this cooler has a unique adjustable front-loading cassette which removes easily for paper loading. [P} wil appear as a blinking indication on the COPY QUANTITY display @ when paper cassette @ is empty, whee paper has not peen fed correctly, or when the cassette is rot properly inserted. For best results, use only SHARP recommended paper. 1 paper reaming in the removed paper cassette €, missed paper is stuck in the cassette slot.
ARG SERER ADDING TON The toner required indicator (& blinks when toner is needed. The copier il stop. The goner required indicator @ may oink during long runs of copying multiple dark originals even though toner remains. f the indicator begins blinking, tum the power off and then on again. ADDING TONER 4. Shake the toner bottle well and pour the toner evenly into the toner hopper. * The toner bottle contains enough toner for two complete refills {approx. 5,006 topless. When using & new toner bottle, pour in half of the toner and store the rest for future use. ® F Pour the toner into the toner hopper until it reaches the level where half the roller in the hopper is hidden.
REMOVAL | The cooler stops and the misdeed indicator @ blinks when 2 misdeed I occurs. If the paper becomes accidentally form when removing a misdeed, be sure 1o remove all pieces. After removing the misdoes, open and close the L front cover @ to cancel the misdeed indicator €. Be careful not to damage the photo conductive drum & or corona wires. 1. Open the front cover ©. 2. Press the upper half release lever @ to open the copier. 3. Carefully remove the missed paper.
USED TONER DISPOSAL When the indicator @ blinks, the toner collecting container s full. The copier will stop. 1. Open the front cover ©. 2. Push up the fixed cover securing the container and gently remove the full toner collecting container @ * Toner cannot be recycled. Do not transfer used toner to the toner hepper. @ Remove the cap from the new toner collecting container @ and cap the full toner collecting container @ ® Keep the full toner collecting container @ until the next regular service call.

USER MAINTENANCE Proper care of the copier is essential for clean sharp copies.
