Specific Absorption Rate (SA R) certification
information
Y our phone conforms to European Union (EU )
standards that limit hum an exposure to radio
frequency (RF) energy em itted by radio and
telecom m unications equipm ent. T hese standards
prevent the sale of m obile phones that exceed a
maximum exposure level (know n as the Specific
Absorpt
ion Rate, or SA R ) of 2.0 watts per kilogram of
body tissu e.
During testing, the maximum SA R recorded for this
m odel was 0.499 watts per kilogram . In normal use,
the actual SA R is likely to be much low er, as the
phone has been designed
to em it only the RF energy
n ecessary to transm it a signal to the nearest base
station. By au tom atically em itting low er levels when
p o ssible, your phone reduces your overall exposure to
RF energy.
