Handset Settings

You can make settings for the functions to turn the display on/
off with motions such as when you hold the handset with your
hand, when you put it into your pocket or when you slide the
touch panel with your finger.

In the home screen, [R]/[Settings]/
[Useful]/[On/off with motion]

Select an item
Bright Keep: Set whether to set the display not to be turned
off while holding the handset with your hand.
Turn off by putting in pocket: Set whether to set the display to
be turned off when putting the handset in your pocket.
Sweep ON: Set whether to set the display to be turned on by
sliding the touch panel with your finger while the display is
turned off.
You can diagnose the handset by selecting the symptoms or
functions.

: To restart the handset in safe mode: [REBOOT WITH SAFE
MODE]/[OK]

: To stop a diagnosis: [Cancel]/[NEXT ITEM]/[YES]
: Touch the history items of the diagnoses to check the results.
Based on your information and settings of EMOPA registered
in advance, the handset delivers various information through
voice or the screen display in the lock screen of the touch
panel. EMOPA responds by its voice or the screen display if
you answer EMOPA's voice with your voice.
Also, you can use the memo function (EMOPA memo) and
health support function (health care of EMOPA) by using
EMOPA.
The handset will get to deliver information at better timing by
understanding the usage conditions of your handset.
Packet communication charges are incurred when you use
EMOPA.
The present location may be measured so that EMOPA can
recognize your home, information of nearby facilities, etc. It is
necessary to set [Location] to On to measure the present
location. Set Mode of Location to [High accuracy]. If [Location] is
set to Off or Mode is set to [Battery saving], EMOPA cannot
deliver information requiring measurement of the present
location (nP. 72 “Location”).
Some part of EMOPA is ON by default and EMOPA talks only
when charging. If you set EMOPA to OFF, touch [OFFにする]
(Set to OFF) in the initial settings screen of EMOPA.

: If the initial settings are not completed, the initial settings
screen appears. Follow the instructions on the screen and
operate.
: After completing the initial settings, it is recommended to
make settings for workplace and school, birthday, etc. by
[C]/[あなたについて] (About you). The opportunity or
variation of contents that EMOPA talks may increase.
: If the initial settings are completed, the EMOPA screen is
displayed. You can check the state of EMOPA and your
information.

: You can switch ON/OFF of EMOPA.

エモパー選択 (Select EMOPA): Set EMOPA and its name.
Also, add EMOPA from the website.
基本動作について (About basic operation): Make settings for
the basic operations such as the volume of EMOPA and
operations while setting the manner mode.
あなたについて
(About you): Make settings for your information
such as your nickname, home, workplace and school.
エモパーの話題 (Topics of EMOPA): Set what kind of
information EMOPA delivers.
エモパーメモ (EMOPA memo): Make settings for use of
EMOPA memo.
エモパーヘルスケア (Health care of EMOPA): Make settings
for use of health care of EMOPA.
エモパーの記憶 (Memories of EMOPA): Save, delete or
restore data according to the memory that EMOPA and you
spent together or your lifestyle habit.
The data is saved to the microSD Card.
初期設定 (Initial settings): Make initial settings for EMOPA.
注意事項 (Precautions): Check the EMOPA version, terms of
service, privacy policy, etc.
FAQ: Access the “よくある質問 (FAQ)” (Frequently asked
questions) of the official EMOPA information website,
EMOPARK (in Japanese only).
On/off with motion
[Bright Keep]
If you do not move or operate the handset for a certain period of
time, the display may be turned off even while Bright Keep is
set and you are holding the handset with your hand.
When Bright Keep is set to [ON (Notify)], [\] is displayed on
the status bar.
[Turn off by putting in pocket]
This is activated when the lock screen of the touch panel is
displayed, or while a home app is being used.
If you enable [Turn off by putting in pocket] while [Switching by
motion] of VeilView is enabled, [Switching by motion] is
disabled.
[Sweep ON]
If the proximity sensor (upper part of the display) is covered
with a hand, an object, etc., the display is not turned on.
If the proximity sensor (upper part of the display) is covered
after turning on the display, the display cannot be operated by
touching to prevent inadvertent operations. Also, the display
may be turned off regardless of the setting of the handset.
