Digital Quick Zoom
(Extend Zoom)
The digital quick zoom function allows you to
instantly zoom in on a subject. You can select
from among three digital quick zoom ranges,
22, 42 or 102.
Using Digital Quick Zoom
1 Press the CONTROL switch until
appears (Camera mode).
2 During recording, press the EXTEND
button (C).
The zoom range indicator appears and
the subject is instantly magnified.
Notes:
The picture quality decreases when the
Digital Quick Zoom is used.
The Digital Quick Zoom cannot be used in the
digital zoom range or together with the
STRETCH or SLIM EFF. picture effects.
Setting the Digital Quick Zoom
Ranges
1 In Recording Standby mode, display the
menu screen (see page 25).
2 Toggle the CONTROL switch (Q) to
select “EXTEND”, then press the
CONTROL switch (W) to select “2@”,
“4@”, “10@”, or “ALL”.
3 Press the EXIT button (MODE
DISPLAY) to turn off the menu screen.
When “ALL” is selected, each time you press
the EXTEND button (C) during recording,
the zoom range changes as shown.
Note:
• When the Digital Quick Zoom is used with the
optical zoom at 102,
—“22” increases the zoom power to 202,
—“42” increases the zoom power to 402,
—“102” increases the zoom power to 1002.
