Audio Dubbing Feature
You can add narrations to recordings made
with the VIEWCAM using the built-in
microphone or an external microphone, while
preserving the original audio and video
recordings.
*About the MIC jack
This external microphone jack outputs a DC voltage of
4.0 V. It is for use with microphones that comply with
the specifications listed on page 77. Use of any other
type of microphone may result in damage to the
microphone or the VIEWCAM. A microphone with a
separate power plug cannot be used.
Note:
• The built-in microphone automatically turns off
when an external microphone is connected to
the MIC jack.

12-bit audio recording
The audio is recorded in stereo on two
channels. The same stereo audio signals are
recorded on both channels.
Audio 1: Stereo (left and right) sound
Audio 2: Stereo (left and right) sound
16-bit audio recording
The audio is recorded in stereo with the left and
right sound on two separate channels.

Audio recording in Audio Dubbing

12-bit audio recording
The dubbed audio is recorded on Audio 2 over
the original stereo sound.
Audio 1: Original stereo (left and right) sound
Audio 2: Dubbed stereo (left and right) sound
16-bit audio recording
The dubbed audio is recorded on Audio 2 over
the original right sound. Both the dubbed and
original sounds are in mono.
