Battery-Powered Operation
Operating Time with the Battery Pack
The battery pack is an internal power source for the computer.
Note:
* The operating time depends on
the options used with the computer,
the frequency of key input,
applications, and the configuration
of the system, so it might be shorter
or longer than the stated time.
The following tables show the operating times of the computer with
a fully charged battery pack.
When you use the lithium ion battery pack:
When you use the NiMH battery pack:

Charging the Battery Pack
Note:
While you operate your computer,
the NiMH battery pack cannot be
charged with the optional Car
Battery Adapter.
You can charge the battery pack with either the AC Adapter or the
Travel Quick Charger (available as an option). You must charge the
battery pack when any of the following conditions exists:
You are setting up your computer.
A new battery pack was purchased.
The battery status indicator (orange) stays on.
The battery status indicator (orange) blinks for less than 1
minute; then the suspend mode indicator turns on.
