Installing the ThinkPad Features Program
When installing an operating system, you must install the ThinkPad
Features program that is on the Utility Diskette to set up the
programs used with your computer. Follow the instructions for your
operating system.
For OS/2, see “Installing for OS/2.”
For DOS, see “Installing for DOS” on page 181.
For Windows, see “Installing for Windows” on page 182.

Installing for OS/2
To install the ThinkPad Features program for OS/2, do the following:

Turn on the computer and start the operating system.
Note:
To open the OS/2 full screen:
1.
Double-click on OS/2 System.
2.
Double-click on Command
Prompts.
3.
Double-click on OS/2 Full
Screen.

Install the ThinkPad System Management device driver.
a)
Insert the Utility Diskette into the diskette drive.
b)
Open the OS/2 full screen command prompt.
c)
Type DDINSTAL; then press Enter.
d)
Click on the Install... button.
e)
Click on ThinkPad System Management Device Driver;
then click on OK.

Open the OS/2 full-screen command prompt.

Go to the A: prompt and type INSTALL2; then press Enter.
You have completed the installation of the ThinkPad Features
program.

Using PS2 command in OS/2 Environment
To use the PS2 command in the DOS session of OS/2, install the
program at the DOS full screen using the same procedure that you
used to install for DOS. (See page 181.)
