Useful Features for Camera Recording
Auto Focus
The VIEWCAM’s Auto Focus feature is designed to
focus on most types of subjects. In Auto Focus mode,
the VIEWCAM automatically focuses on whatever is
in the centre of the scene. Therefore, always keep the
subject in the centre of the monitor screen.
l If no subject is in the centre of the monitor screen,
the focus area will expand and the VIEWCAM will
focus on the subject nearest the centre.
l If no subject is displayed on the monitor screen,
the VIEWCAM will automatically zoom out until
some subject comes into the monitor screen.
Auto focus may not be able to focus correctly in the
situations shown in the chart. In such situations, set
the VIEWCAM to Manual Focus mode and focus
manually.

l While recording in Manual Focus mode, you may
not be able to focus correctly if the subject is less
than approximately 1.5 m from the VIEWCAM. In
such a case, shift the zoom control toward wide
angle, and then try focusing again.
l If you focus on a subject without first setting the
zoom power to the maximum, the subject may go
out of focus when you zoom further in on it later.
l If the lens is didy or fogged, you maynotbe able to
obtain correct focus.
