Whilst stop or play mode, press the EQ button repeatly until the
desired sound mode appears.
Alternative method to change sound mode.
Note:
Distortion may occur depending on the equaliser setting.
In this case, change the type or turn down the volume.
(*) indicates default setting
Customising sound quality
Note:
The “Custom” settings will remain in the memory even after you
switch to another equaliser mode.
1 Press / button to turn the power on.
2 Hold down the Menu button for 1
second or more.
3 Within 20 seconds, press or
button to select “Settings” and press
Menu button.
4 Within 20 seconds, press or
button to select “Eq” and press Menu
button.
5 Within 20 seconds, press or
button to select an equaliser setting,
press Menu button.
(*)Normal : The sound is not modified
Rock : For rock music
Pop : For pop music
Jazz : For jazz
Custom : Sound quality can be customise (see page 16)
The setting is completed.
The playback screen returns after 20 seconds.

2 Within 20 seconds, press or
button to select “Custom” and press
Menu button.
3 Within 20 seconds, press or button to select the
frequency and press button.
4 Within 20 seconds, press Volume
(– or +) button to increase or
decrease the gain level.
5 Repeat steps 3 and 4 to adjust each frequency.
6 Within 20 seconds, press Menu button.
The setting is completed.
The playback screen returns after 20 seconds.
