WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury when using any electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including: •Damaged power cord must only be replaced by qualified service personnel. There are no user-serviceable parts inside the unit. Any attempt to open the unit will void the warranty and could lead to serious damage to the unit and/or personal injury to the operator. •Before unplugging unit from outlet, turn off all controls.
Basic Operation Assembly The Fan has five parts. Two tall pieces comprise the pillar and two larger pieces are the base. The fan itself is the fifth part. Guide the power cord between the two pillar sections. Make sure the smaller ends are facing the fan, then snap the pillar sections together. Align the pegs of one half of the base with the holes in the other. Assemble the base by sliding the halves together. Guide the power cord through the hole in the base.
Operation One of the distinct differences between “fresh” outdoor air and “stale” indoor air is the balance of negative ions vs. positive ions. Outdoor air has high concentrations negative ions — specifically, oxygen molecules with an extra electron attached — and relatively few positive ions (oxygen with an electron stripped away). MODE Select from three wind simulation patterns: Constant - No fluctuation in wind intensity. Natural - Changes in air flow to simulate natural breezes.
Temperature Control Use the remote control to set a desirable temperature point for the fan. Although there is a temperature readout on the remote itself, the measurement that controls the fan is taken at the fan. This way, if the remote is left in direct sunlight, next to a window and getting a false reading, it will not affect the operation of the fan. The fan stops and starts automatically according to the room temperature as measured at the fan. To activate the fan and display, press POWER.
