LEVEL AND SQUARE FLOOR FRAME Before attaching oor decking, it is important to level and square the oor frame. A level and square oor frame is required to correctly construct your shed. BEGIN 1 See page 7 for the preferred oor leveling method. 2 Use level and check the frame is level before applying oor panels. 3 Check for frame squareness by measuring diagonally across corners. If the measurements are the same, the frame is square.
FLOOR PANELS PARTS REQUIRED: x53 2" (5,1 cm) x1 5/8 x 48 x 96" (1,6 x 121,9 x 243,8 cm) Ensure your Áoor frame is square by installing one panel and squaring frame. BEGIN 1 Attach the 48 x 96" panel with the rough side up (painted-grid lines side) with the 48" edge and corner ush to the oor frame (Fig A). Secure panel with two 2" nails in the corners. 2 Move to the opposite end.

It is important to secure the back wall in the following order: 1 Center back wall on oor side to side. Nail the lower back wall corner to the side wall stud with one 2" nail (Fig. A). Fig. A 2 2" (5,1 cm) Nail Ensure the measurement between the panel edges is the same along the entire length. Then secure with one 2" nail in the upper corner (Fig. B).
SIDE WALL INSTALLATION PARTS REQUIRED: x10 3" (7,6 cm) x17 2" (5,1 cm) x17 1-1/2" (3,8 cm) BEGIN It is important to secure the side wall in the following order: Stand left wall on oor. 1 Center side wall assembly on the 92-1/2" (235 cm) oor dimension. 2 First, nail lower edge of panel to oor frame using 2" nails 6" apart. Angle nail to hit oor frame (Fig. A). 3 Nail side wall bottom plate to oor using (8) 3" nails.

Angle nail to hit oor frame (Fig. A). 3 Nail front wall to side walls using (26) 1-1/2" nails 6" apart.

TRIM x56 PARTS REQUIRED: 2" (5,1 cm) x4 3/8 x 1-3/4 x 71" (1 x 4,4 x 180,3 cm) x4 3/8 x 1-3/4 x 72" (1 x 4,4 x 182,9 cm) ¸1 BEGIN Attach 71" trim ush under gable panel (Fig. A) using (2) 2" (5,1 cm) nails as shown. 2 Attach 72" trim ush to top of side wall panel and ush to edge of 71" trim (Fig. A) using (1) 2" (5,1 cm) nail as shown. 3 Finish attaching trim ush to corners (Fig. B ) using (7) 2" (5,1 cm) nish nails as shown. 4 Repeat steps 1-3 to attach trim to all four corners.
GABLE TRIM x40 PARTS REQUIRED: x4 1-1/4" (3,2 cm) CL 2 x 4 x 53-11/16" (5,1 x 10,2 x 136,4 cm) ¸1 BEGIN Install front gable trim CL ush to top of panel and ush at peak (Fig. A) as shown. Attach trim with eight 1-1/4" screws from inside. 2 Secure to wall using 1-1/4" screws 7-1/4" apart. Screw through panels into CL. 3 Repeat above steps to secure back wall gable trim. ROOF PANELS PARTS REQUIRED: x8 2" (5,1 cm) 7/16 x 48 x 96" (1,1 x 121,9 x 243,8 cm) x2 Roof panels may cause serious injury until securely fastened. You must square the roof by attaching one panel rst. You will use the panels’ long edge as a lever to bring your roof into square. Commonly known as “racking”. BEGIN 1 Attach the 48 x 96" panel with the rough side up (painted-grid lines side) with a 1/2" measurement on the gable trim (Fig A) and the panel ush at the peak (Fig. B). Flush at peak.
ROOF PANELS PARTS REQUIRED: x2 x86 2" (5,1 cm) 5-7/8" x 96" (14,9 x 243,8 cm) Keep spacing between the center of the rafters at the lower edge of the panel and secure with one 2" nail into each rafter (Fig. E). 3 NOTE: Measurements from inside of gable trim. Move to the top of the panel and keep spacing between the center of the rafters. Secure with one 2" nail into each rafter (Fig. E).
DOOR TRIM x12 PARTS REQUIRED: x2 ZJ 2" (5,1 cm) 19/32 x 2-1/2 x 72" (1,5 x 6,4 x 182,9 cm) BEGIN 1 Attach ZJ Repeat for other side of door opening. Flush ZJ 48-1/2" (123,2 cm) TRIM TO TRIM MAINTAIN DIMENSION BETWEEN TRIM. 48-1/2" (123,2 cm) Note: Edge may result here. Align stud and trim.
DOORS PARTS REQUIRED: x2 2" (5,1 cm) x1 x1 JF 1 x 4 x 60" (2,5 x 10,2 x 152,4 cm) TEMPORARY SUPPORT BEGIN 1 Orient parts as shown on at surface. Center part JF over door. Attach temporary support JF using two (5,1 cm) screws. Tighten securely. 2"(5,1 cm) Screws Temporary support.
DOORS PARTS REQUIRED: x3 3" (7,6 cm) x4 2" (5,1 cm) x1 x1 OO 2 x 3 x 69" (5,1 x 7,6 x 175,3 cm) BEGIN 1 Attach temporary support OO as a ledger board for doors to rest on, using three 3" screws. Measure 72" down from gable panels (Fig. A). 72" (182,9 cm) from bottom of gable panel to top of ledger board 72" from gable panels OO Fig. A OO 2 Raise and center door between trim. Keep 1/4" gap between door and trim. Secure JF to side trim using four 2" (5,1 cm) Screws.
DOOR HARDWARE PARTS REQUIRED: x3 x8 x6 2-1/2" (6,4 cm) 1" (2,5 cm) IMPORTANT! Verify 1/4" (0,6 cm) gap spacing on each side of door. 3 Place top hinge ush to top and 1" (2,5 cm) from the outside of trim as shown. Repeat step for bottom hinge (Fig. A, B). 4 Secure hinges using 2-1/2" (6,4 cm) screws on trim and 1" (2,5 cm) screws on door (Fig. A, B). IMPORTANT! If you want door to swing from opposite side, reverse position of hinges. Fig.

Center between oor and overdoor header. Secure using ve 2" (5,1 cm) screws from outside of door (Fig. B). 7 Place batten ush to front of studs and center between oor and over-door header (Fig. C,D). Secure using ve 3/4" (1,9 cm) screws.

COLLAR TIES PARTS REQUIRED: x1 x6 2" (5,1 cm) JF 1 x 4 x 60" (2,5 x 10,2 x 152,4 cm) ¸1 BEGIN 2 Glue and Install collar tie JF on middle rafter. Use (3) 2" nails at each side of collar tie. Collar tie should be ush to the roof panels. Ensure the collar tie are level before nailing. FINISH 3 You have nished attaching your collar tie. PAINT & CAULK - NOT INCLUDED - • Use acrylic latex caulk that is paintable. Caulk at all horizontal and vertical seams, between the trim and walls, and all around the door trim. • Use a high quality exterior acrylic latex paint. When painting your building, there are a few key areas that can be easily overlooked that must be painted: • Bottom edge of all siding and trim • Inside of doors and all 4 edges Note: Prime all un-primed exterior wood before painting. SHINGLES continued... 2 2 Beginning at front of shed, install rst row of shingles with notch at 1" past roof edge or ush with drip edge. Roof Deck FRONT OF SHED 1" (2,5 cm) BACK OF SHED Flush with starter row. Notch - or Drip Edge Flush with starter row. Notch 3 Install second row of shingles ush at top of rst row's rain slots. Ensure 1" overhang or ush to drip edge at front, stagger each row. FRONT OF SHED BACK OF SHED 1" (2,5 cm) Notch Flush with rain slots.
SHINGLES continued... 5 Continue installing rows of shingles to the peak. At the peak make sure there is a maximum of 5" or less to the rain slot, as shown below. If shingles overlap at ridge cut to peak with a utility knife. Cut Off. 5" (12,7 cm) MAX. CUT Top of rain slot. • If more than 5" to rain slot you must install another row of shingles. 6 Repeat steps 1 - 5 to shingle the opposite side of your roof. Trim shingles at ridge. 7 Once both sides are shingled you need to trim ends.
SHINGLES - RIDGE CAP • You will nish off the top of the roof with a ridge cap made from shingles. BEGIN 1 Cut shingles into THREE pieces. Hint: Use cut-off pieces rst. 2" (5,1 cm) 2" (5,1 cm) 2" (5,1 cm) 2" (5,1 cm) 2" (5,1 cm) 2" (5,1 cm) Score shingle, then snap-off angled cut. Weather Seal Top of slot. Note: • You will need about 20 - 22 cut pieces. 2 20 to 22 Pieces Install rst ridge cap ush to shingles at front, as shown. (1) Nail per side through weather seal.
SHINGLES - RIDGE CAP continued... 4 Continue installing ridge cap to back of roof. 5 Make sure there is 4" between the shingle-color and edge of shingles. Trim cap off Áush to shingles 6 When you have 4" minimum of shingle color cut one piece to cap your roof. Cap 7 Install ush to shingles. Flush to shingles (2) Nails per side. FINISH 8 You have nished your ridge cap.
