For the best draw
the chimney
termination should
be at least 2 feet
above the highest
point of the roof
that is within a 10
foot radius of the
chimney.
The termination cap
should be designed to
inhibit down-drafting
without restricting the
exhaust discharge.
When using a brick chimney, you must line the entire chimney with
stainless steel liner. The liner must be the correct size for the furnace.
(SF2600 and SF3100: 6” liner.)
The diameter of the chimney stack should be consistent throughout the
length of the chimney.
The chimney size should be at least as large as the exhaust stack on
the furnace, but not more than twice its size.
The chimney stack should have a built-in
airtight clean out.
WARNING: Do not operate with clean out
uncapped.
