Out of Range Warning Tones
Using the Headset Jack
The GH2400C cordless telephone automatically searches and selects the
clearest channel when it is being used.
This telephone has an internal security code with 65,536 possible
combinations. Each time handset back to the base unit, the code is randomly
set to a new combination.
Communication between HANDSET and BASE UNIT may not be possible in
any of the following situations:
1. After a power failure.
2. After relocating the BASE UNIT by disconnecting the AC ADAPTOR.
3. After replacing the HANDSET BATTERY PACK.
To reset, place the HANDSET on the BASE UNIT for 2 to 5 seconds.
If you are too far away from the BASE UNIT, the HANDSET emits "beep"
sounds to warn you that the background noise level is too high for proper
communication between the HANDSET and the BASE UNIT. When you hear
this sound, you should move closer to the BASE UNIT to reduce the noise level.
Otherwise, the call will automatically cut off.
Your telephone can utilize a headset (not included) to be connected to your
HANDSET for you to enjoy a hands-free communication. When you plug in the
headset plug into the HEADSET JACK, it automatically mutes the microphone
and speaker of the HANDSET. Unplug the headset to return the HANDSET to

When the BATT LOW indicator starts to blink, a "beep" sound will be heard
every 5 seconds. This indicates that the BATTERY PACK needs to be
recharged. Charge the battery pack at least once every 90 day of non-use to
avoid battery failure. When the BATTERY PACK can no longer be charged,
replacement of the BATTERY PACK will be necessary.
To maximize your battery's life, we recommend that you periodically fully
discharge the battery, and then recharge it. To do this, unplug your phone line
cord from the wall phone jack. Press the TALK button, and allow the handset
to remain on for 10 to 12 hours. Reconnect the phone cord to the wall phone
jack return the handset to the base and allow it to fully charge for 12 hours. If
this process is completed monthly, it will reduce the memory buildup that
occurs from frequent partial charging.
The product that you have purchased contains a rechargeable BATTERY PACK.
The BATTERY PACK is recyclable. At the end of its useful life, under various
state and local laws, it may be illegal to dispose of this BATTERY PACK into the
municipal waste stream. Check with your local solid waste officials for details
in your area for recycling options or proper disposal.
