Network Troubleshooting Table
Use the following table as a quick reference to troubleshoot common network problems.
Symptom Possible Cause Solution
Device not discovered on network Damaged Ethernet connection or
missing
Check Ethernet cables and connec-
tion, LEDs at Ethernet port
Invalid IP address Assign valid IP address using DHCP
server or manually
Device Subnet setting does not match Verify component is on the same
subnet
Incorrect Ethernet switch DHCP
configuration
Make sure only one Ethernet switch
has the DHCP switch set to ON
Network Icon does not appear on
LCD of rack components
Ethernet connection missing between
other network devices
Check Ethernet connections and
cables between devices
AXT620 Ethernet Switch does not
appear on network
Incorrect IP setting or IP setting
changed from default
Use packet analysis software to dis-
cover address or use reset function

Use the following table as a quick reference to troubleshoot common ShowLink network problems.
Symptom Possible Cause Solution
Tx Adjust option does not
appear on receiver LCD
or ShowLink icon is not
displayed
Transmitter not ON Verify transmitter is turned ON
AXT610 ShowLink access point not ON Check power status LEDs and Power con-
nection (PoE or external)
Transmitter is beyond ShowLink coverage
range
Make sure there is a good line-of-sight path
between the transmitter and access point.
Reposition access point or use additional
access points to increase coverage area
Transmitter and receiver not linked Check for link icon and matching channel
names, relink transmitter and receiver
AXT610 ShowLink access point not
networked
Check network status LED, use Find All to
verify network connection
AXT610 antenna disconnected or
damaged
Make sure antenna connection is secure
and center pin is not damaged or missing
AXT610 ShowLink Access
Point not on network
Incorrect IP address or subnet setting Use reset to set IP address mode to
