Our preset modes (Accessible in all Shure MOTIV™ apps) are a great
place to get started; but m os t of the fun is finding y our own sound.
Audio Processing
Subtle EQ that emphasizes clarity and
fullness.
Less low end and a little 'brighter' than the
speech mode; tuned for vocals with musical
elements.
Removes all EQ and compression to give
you maximum flexibility in post-product ion .

Medium stereo width wi th light compression to
smooth out volume and equalization.
Empha s ize detai l with an overall natural sound .
Wide stereo width and low gain to capture
details in loud environments.
Pro Tip
For a bigger, fuller voiceover sound try
mono-cardioid and turning up 1 OOhz in
the EQ.
Add 1 OkHz for a more open airy sound.
Move up compression to medium or light
to smooth.
Flat mode is the only mode with no high
pass filter so it's best for low frequencies
like bass gu itar and drums.
For guitar place the mic about 12 i nches away
pointing where the neck meets the body.
Experiment with placement and EQ from there .
Increase the compression to medium or
heavy for a bi gger, more impactful sound.
