Policy
• Periodically audit the RUGGEDCOM SAS-GW installation and configuration to make sure it complies with these
recommendations and/or any internal security policies.
• Review the user documentation for other Siemens products used in coordination with RUGGEDCOM SAS-GW for
further security recommendations.
Section1.3
Architecture and Operation
RUGGEDCOM SAS-GW operates as an intermediary between an SAS service provider and Citizens Broadband radio
Service Devices (CBSDs). It controls which CBSD (base station or subscriber unit) is registered with the SAS and
opens access to the 3.5 GHz band when granted by the SAS. RUGGEDCOM SAS-GW will also revoke access and/or
deregister devices when requested by the SAS or a user.
