Preface
This guide describes v1.2 of the RUGGEDCOM SAS-GW Web-based user interface and software application running
on RUGGEDCOM WIN subscriber stations and base stations operating in the 3.5 to 3.7 GHz frequency band. These
devices are members of the RUGGEDCOM family of mobile WiMAX broadband wireless access systems based on
the 802.16e mobile WiMAX standard. This guide contains instructions and guidelines on how to use RUGGEDCOM
SAS-GW, as well as some general theory.
It is intended for use by network operators who are familiar with the operation of networks.
NOTE
Illustations of the management interface screens are presented for illustrative purposes and may
appear with minor differences in a working system.

Alerts
The following types of alerts are used when necessary to highlight important information.
DANGER!
DANGER alerts describe imminently hazardous situations that, if not avoided, will result in death or
serious injury.
WARNING!
WARNING alerts describe hazardous situations that, if not avoided, may result in serious injury and/or
equipment damage.
CAUTION!
CAUTION alerts describe hazardous situations that, if not avoided, may result in equipment damage.
IMPORTANT!
IMPORTANT alerts provide important information that should be known before performing a procedure
or step, or using a feature.
