Local Language Operating System Support
Desigo CC Server and Microsoft SQL Server are supported and tested using the
English edition of the recommended Microsoft operating systems. For support of
Multilingual User Interface (MUI) packages, Windows Ultimate or Windows Server
edition operating systems must be installed.
For use of native versions of Windows, please contact the local distributor for
compatibility of specific versions (for example: the native German or French
professional editions).
3.1.2 Virtualization
Desigo CC is compatible with the following virtualization software packages:
● VMware®:
– Virtualization platform: VSphere 6.0, 6.5 and 6.7
– High Availability and Fault-tolerant software: Hypervisor OS: VMware ESXi
6.0, VMware ESXi 6.5 and VMware ESXi 6.7
– Management Software: VCenter Server Appliance v6.0, v6.5 and v6.7
– Storage: Local disks, VMFS or vSAN v6.7 U3
● Stratus®:
– Virtualization platform: KVM for Linux CentOS v7.0
– High Availability and Fault-tolerant software: EverRun Enterprise 7.5.1
NOTE: LMU v2.2.737 or later is required. Manual workaround is needed on
EverRun environment. Refer to the SIOS entry 109771472.
– Storage: Local disks
● Microsoft:
– Virtualization platform: Microsoft Hyper-V 2012, 2016 and 2019
– High Availability software: Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2012, 2016, and 2019
(Replica configuration is only supported with dongle-based licenses)
– Storage: Local disks, Block Storage (iSCSI, Fiber Channel) or Storage
Space Direct on server 2019
UL/ULC Deployments
Supported virtualization software is limited to VMware VSphere for UL/ULC
deployments.

To verify compatibility between different versions of vSphere components, refer to
VMware the documentation.
3.1.3 Microsoft SQL Server
Microsoft SQL Server 2014 R2 Express is free and included in the product DVD.
Additional supported SQL version and editions are:
● Microsoft® SQL Server 2012 (Express, Standard and Enterprise)
● Microsoft® SQL Server 2014 (Express, Standard and Enterprise)
● Microsoft® SQL Server 2016 (Express, Standard and Enterprise)
● Microsoft® SQL Server 2017 (Express, Standard and Enterprise)
