Introduction 2 Introduction 2.1 Purpose of the document The document describes the differences between EP7F Update 1 and EP7F-SR1. It is intended for Tool Coordinators who need to known what is new and/or different in EP7F-SR1. 2.2 General focus on EP7F-SR1 AlgoRex EP7F-SR1 has been done manly for the two countries Israel and Denmark. Also some of the known bugs were fixed. See page 8. 2.2.1 Completion of AlgoRex CT11 Visualizer – Supports Microsoft Windows NT 4.

With service pack 2 installed - See related document [1] 4 Versions and compatibility 4.1 AlgoWorks setup version The current AlgoWorks setup version EP7F-SR1 is V1.35.0-000. It is a full setup. Older AlgoWorks programs must be uninstalled before.

Versions and compatibility 4.5 Restrictions and known bugs in Embedded-SW 736 4.5.1 Supervision of emergency lines (degrade path) Bug description If the I-Bus is blocked via switch S4-10 on the E3X101 the signals for the emergency line supervision are also disabled and therefore a fault message 'degrade path fire alarm' is displayed for each station which does not detect the supervision pulses anymore. 4.5.
Versions and compatibility 4.5.6 Overlapping remote transmission references Bug description If the configuration contains any wrong device remote ID (structure number or field number) no fault message will be generated. Work around: Use the consistency check provided by AlgoWorks 4.5.7 Australian functionality The specific Australian functionality is not fully supported with the version EP7FSR1. 4.5.
AlgoWorks Software Toolset 5 AlgoWorks Software Toolset AlgoWorks EP7F now runs on Microsoft Windows NT4, Win2000 and WinXP See related document [1]. 5.1 Global information 5.1.1 Multi user possibility on one PC With EP7F Update1 it was only possible to have multi user possibilities if each user could carry out the AlgoWorks setup. Now in EP7F-SR1 it is not necessary anymore. To overtake all necessary settings one can use the Activator. It overtakes all settings without having the setup possibility.
AlgoWorks Software Toolset 5.3 Site Management 5.3.1 General Sub-windows The AlgoWorks SIM program is divided into different sub-windows, non of them can be moved, only resize or hidden is possible. AlgoWorks Software Toolset 5.7 Restrictions and known bugs 5.7.1 16bit characters not fully supported in path and directory names Bug description 16bit characters must not be used in path and directory names of the AlgoWorks installation. Otherwise, conversion of EP4 (or older) sites to EP7F is not possible. Therefore, in Asian countries that are using 16bit character sets, AlgoWorks must be installed in a separate path using 8bit characters only! 5.7.

Update procedures 8 Update procedures 8.1 AlgoWorks 8.1.1 Overview The AlgoWorks setup 1.35.0-000 is a full setup. Therefore the old setup has to be uninstalled. Update procedures – Choose a new country code during the installation If you do not use a new country code, the directory that corresponds to the old country code (e.g. …/AW1_3/B0_00_CFG) will be overwritten and all adaptation are gone. You have to start at the beginning again. A new directory (which corresponds to the prompted country code, E.g. B0_01) will be created during the installation. Explorer view This directory was new created. This directory was overwritten.
Update procedures Procedure to overtake and adapt the AlgoWorks helps 3. Copy all help topics into the corresponding directories. Explorer view After the installation the directory B0_01_CFG has the same topics like the overwritten TC_Sources_CFG directory. To overtake all already made country adaptations to the new AlgoWorks configuration you have to copy them manually. 4.

Update procedures 8.1.3 The customizing process was NOT started yet Procedure to be followed 1. Remove AlgoWorks version 1.32.0AB-000 by using the setup program. Follow the procedure described in document [3] ’How to remove AlgoWorks’ The folder AW1_3 must be deleted manually. 2. Install the new AlgoWorks version 1.35.0-000 by using the setup program. 8.1.
Update procedures 2. Delete the country specific BDV’s manually. 3. Delete the directory .../TC_Sources_BDV manually. Explorer view Delete the country specific BDV’s manually Delete the directory .../TC_Sources_BDV manually. 4. Install the new BDV’s J0_114x_730_10 by using the setup program on the CD. The new BDV J0_1140_730_10 and J0_1145_730_10 will be installed. 5. Create a new country specific BDV which is based on the just installed one.

Open the BDV Help project in the directory .../TC_Sources_BDV/HELP/COUNTRY/Source and Overtake all changes into your country variant, which were made between J0_114x_730_08 and J0_114x_730_10.
Update procedures 8.2.3 No prepared BDV's If the country specific adaptations have not been started yet, it is strongly recommended to use the new international BDVs. Procedure 1. Remove BDV version J0_1140_730_08 Follow the procedure described in document [3] ’How to remove BDVs’ 2. Delete the country specific BDV’s manually. 3. Delete the directory .../TC_Sources_BDV manually. 4. Install the new BDV’s J0_114x_730_10 by using the setup program on the CD.
