Funktionsprinzip
Die Luftproben-Rauchmeldeeinheit ASD-
Duct ist ein passives Überwachungssystem
ohne eigenen Ventilator. Es nutzt die vor-
handenen Druckunterschiede im Lüftungs-
system aus, um über einen Bypass kontinu-
ierlich Luftproben aus dem Lüftungskanal
der Luftproben-Rauchmeldeeinheit zuzu-
führen. Die Funktion der Luftproben-Rauch-
meldeeinheit ist solange gewährleistet, als
die lüftungstechnische Anlage in Betrieb ist
und Luft zirkuliert. Die zu überwachende
Luft muss im Normalfall sauber, d.h. staub-
und aerosolfrei sein.
Bei einer durch den Rauchmelder be-
stimmten Rauchkonzentration wird die
entsprechende Gefahrenstufe zur Zen-
trale gemeldet, welche die notwendige
Alarmierung einleitet.
Der Ansprechindikator am Rauchmelder
zeigt den Gefahrenzustand optisch vor
Ort an.

Principe de fonctionnement
L’unité de détection de fumée par prélève-
ment d’air ASD-Duct est un système passif
de surveillance sans ventilateur propre. Il
utilise les différences de pression existant
dans le système de ventilation pour amener
en permanence, et par l’intermédiaire d’une
dérivation (Bypass), des échantillons d’air
du canal de ventilation à l’unité de prélève-
ment d’air. Le fonctionnement de l’unité de
prélèvement d’air est assuré tant que l’ins-
tallation technique de ventilation est en ex-
ploitation et que l’air circule. En cas normal,
l’air à surveiller doit être propre, c’est-à-dire
exempt de poussière et d’aérosols.
Une concentration de fumée déterminée
par le détecteur de fumée signale le ni-
veau de danger correspondant à l’équipe-
ment de contrôle et de signalisation qui in-
troduit la mise en alarme nécessaire.
Sur place, l’indicateur d’action au détec-
teur de fumée signalise optiquement l’état
de danger.

Operating principle
The ASD-Duct air sampling smoke detec-
tion unit is a passive monitoring system
without its own ventilator. It utilizes the dif-
ferences in pressure in the ventilation sys-
tem in order to take continuous air sam-
ples from the ventilation duct and
transport them to the air sampling smoke
detection unit via a bypass. The air sam-
pling smoke detection unit operates as
long as the ventilation system is in com-
mission and air can circulate. Normally,
the air to be monitored must be clean, i.e.
contain no dust or aerosols.
When the smoke detector registers a cer-
tain smoke concentration the correspond-
ing danger level is signalled to the control
unit, which in turn activates the appropri-
ate alarm.
The response indicator on the smoke de-
tector signals the danger locally
