Description
The Stand-alone Control Unit (SCU) to DIN Migration
Kit contains a backplane and accessory kit designed to
efficiently migrate existing SCUs to the latest state-of-
the-art hardware platform while leveraging past system
investments.
The Migration Kit is an integral part of the complete
SCU Fast Forward Migration solution, specially
developed to control migration costs, and minimize
downtime and disruptions. The SCU Migration Kit
backplane fits inside an SCU enclosure and uses
existing conduit and wiring. The backplane supports the
installation of one PXC Modular and other TX-I/O™
components.
Other physical system assets remain, including
Insight® 3.x workstation, TECs, most sensors, and
controlled devices. Additional system investments are
also preserved, including system engineering,
programming, databases, graphics, training, initial
system configuration, and commissioning.
Features
The backplane assembly fits within an existing SCU
enclosure.
Accessory kit included with backplane assembly
provides:
Three 9.5” (241 mm) wire tie bars and three
4.5” (114 mm) wire tie bars.
Two 20” (508 mm) DIN rails.
Power and communication cables.
Has sufficient room for one PXC Modular Controller
with nine TX-I/O modules (sold separately).
Flexibility to mount controller to ease re-
terminations of wires.
Uses standard PXC Modular with TX-I/O modules.
Migration decals for the SCU Door.
Optional Service boxes provide 115 Vac or 230 Vac
to 24 Vac auxiliary power for optional Pneumatic Kit
or converters that mount on the SCU door.
Optional power kit available allowing the reuse of
the existing service box from a previously SCU
migration. Kit includes an adaptor plate for service
box and MEC power Termination Block (PTB).
Optional Wire Extender Kits available.
Optional Thermistor Support available.
