Application

The RCM61.12 is used for controlling discharge air temperature in smaller ventilating

and air conditioning installations (by heating or cooling).

Application examples:

•

Individual installations, (kitchens shower rooms, etc.)

•

Zone control in larger installations

The RCM61.12 can also be employed as a low limiter for the discharge air in

installations which are controlled by the RCA61.1 room temperature controller or the

RCM61.11 exhaust air temperature controller.

The following units can be controlled:

•

Heating or cooling valve actuator

•

Air damper actuator

•

Step controller or current valve for electric air heater battery

•

Signal converter

The temperature controlled by the RCM61.11 can be shifted by:

•

the outdoor temperature to obtain summer/winter compensation.

•

a building automation system to obtain set point adjustment (fixed value shift).

Technical Instructions Document Number CM1N3406E-P25 Rev. 1, February, 2000 Function As a Controller Polygyr-Compact Discharge Air Temperature Controller The RCM61.12 provides PI control. Its proportional band can be adjusted. The controller compares the actual value with the set point and generates a corresponding control signal. The control signal is continuous and has a range of 0 - 10 Vdc. When the control signal changes from 0 – 10 Vdc, the correcting variable changes from 0 - 100%, i.e.

Technical Instructions Document Number CM1N3406E-P25 Rev. 1, February, 2000 Application Polygyr-Compact Discharge Air Temperature Controller When the unit is switched off or the power supply interrupted (Terminal G), the regulating unit is automatically run to the closed or no-load position. A transformer is required to generate the operating voltage of 24 Vac. When several units are connected, the size of the transformer is determined by adding up the power consumption of the individual units.
