DPU/MPU Migration Kit
Description
The Digital Point Unit (DPU) and Multi-Point Unit
(MPU) Migration Kit is designed to efficiently migrate
an existing DPU/MPU to the latest state-of-the-art
hardware platform while leveraging past system
investments.
The Migration Kit is an integral part of the complete
Fast Forward Migration solution, specially developed
to control migration costs and minimize downtime and
disruptions. The DPU/MPU Migration Kit backplane fits
inside the enclosure and uses existing conduit and
wiring.
Other physical system assets remain, including
Insight® 3.x workstation, TECs, most sensors, and
controlled devices. Additional system investments are
also preserved, including system engineering,
programming, databases, graphics, training, initial
system configuration, and commissioning.
The DPU/MPU Migration Kit includes the following
components:
• One perforated backplane.
• Accessory kit that includes the following:
− Two 14-inch DIN rails.
− Three wire tie bars (two 9.5-inch and one 4.5
inch).
Features
• The backplane assembly can be used within an
existing DPU/MPU enclosure.
• Flexibility to mount controller to ease wire re-
terminations.
• Optional Wire Extender Kits available.
