Floor Level Network Controller
Description
The Floor Level Network Controller (FLN Controller) is
an integral part of the APOGEE® Automation System.
It is a user-programmable Automation Level Network
(ALN) device dedicated to serving as a coordinator for
up to 96 Field Level Network (FLN) devices. It
communicates on the ALN, passing information about
FLN devices to other ALN devices. Up to 100 FLN
Controllers can communicate on the ALN.
The FLN Controller is similar to the Modular Building
Controller (MBC); however, the FLN Controller does
not have termination modules for field input and output
points. All physical points controlled by the FLN
Controller must be terminated in FLN devices.
Information about the environment of your facility is
gathered by the FLN Controller via FLN devices such
as Terminal Equipment Controllers (TECs), Unitary
Controllers (UCs), Digital Point Units (DPUs), Fume
Hood Controllers (FHCs), and Differential Pressure
Monitors (DPMs). The FLN Controller can execute
control programs that handle operator commands and
requests, and make control management decisions.
